Thing 13- k12 online conference
The Online Conference is a great find for me. I really liked looking through all of the offerings and look forward to going back and viewing more. I chose to “attend” Little Kids, Big Ideas by Kelly Hines. The purpose of the presentation was to give Web 2.0 ideas to elementary teachers. The information was a great addition to our course! She gave a brief overview of Wordle, Wallwisher, Comic Creators, and Edmodo. The best part of the presentation was her class examples from each web tool. She gave all the info I needed to find and set up things I can use in my class. She even gave suggestions on how to use the tools together. I found the presentation to be very user friendly and I walked away with things I can use in my class before the school year ends.

The online conference is such a great idea I think. With budget cuts coming down the pike more and more often our abilities to go to conferences will diminish but our need for information will not. I will have to watch this one to learn more about Edmondo…I have never heard of it.
